On Thursday 6th March 2025 we celebrated International Women’s Day, an opportunity to celebrate and shed light on the experiences and challenges faced by women in the built environment sector.
As part of the celebrations, Cratus Group and the LPDF held a seminar in London to hear the career experiences from an amazing panel of women who operate in this sector including Harriet Shone (Cratus Group), Melissa Murphy KC (Landmark Chambers), Vanisha Solanki (London Borough of Redbridge) and Annie Gingell (Turley).
This event was also an opportunity to launch the findings of the Cratus Group/LPDF survey of over 200 respondents on gender equality in the UK built environment sector.
The full report can be downloaded here and will provide a baseline year for tracking the progress and challenges faced by women in our industry. The ambition is to periodically repeat the survey to track what progress is – or isn’t – being made across the sector.
The LPDF fully recognise that equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is vital for the prosperity and variety of thought needed within the UK property sector. We will continue to work towards supporting and uniting our membership so that collectively we can support positive change, creating a more equal, diverse and inclusive UK property workforce.
The LPDF’s EDI information can be found here.
