We had some very interesting discussions with local authority leaders when we attended the District Councils' Network annual conference in Kenilworth, with the theme of 'Better Lives, Stronger Economies'.
Chairman Paul Brocklehurst led our delegation at #DCN2020, discussing how we can improve the housing supply to meet the Government's target of 300,000 each year. In a Q&A session, he answered questions including:
How many of the 300,000 need to be social/affordable homes, and how do we build enough of this type of housing?
How can we get the high volume house builders to embrace low carbon construction?
We'll be following up on many of the conversations we had and we would like to say thank you to everyone that showed an interest in the LPDF and our members.
