Formed in 2018 with 17 Full Members we have grown to an organisation of 124 (Members and Affiliates) in just over 4 years.
The Board of the LPDF are committed, on behalf of its members, to strengthening the voice of the Federation to ensure that as a sector we are able to deliver on our core values:
- Boosting the supply and delivery of housing of all types and tenures, including private residential, affordable housing, senior living, BTR and self / custom build;
- To diversify the delivery of housing, in particular through SMEs;
- To increase the supply of land with planning consent.
The Federation’s principal activities therefore focus on the operation and evolution of the planning system in England leading to engagement with all stakeholders, including government at all levels.
To enable us to invest further in our activities the decision has been taken to welcome as Full Members any house builder who, like our core land promoter membership, invests financial risk capital in land, without planning consent, and the subsequent planning costs to establish the principle of a residential use. Don’t worry if you don’t meet this criteria and still share our values you can still join as an Affiliate and receive some of the benefits, including attendance at events etc. Through continued growth we will invest further in our team, build on our stakeholder engagement and continue to develop the already strong programme of events for our Members and Affiliates.
Over the summer we will be refreshing and updating our website, tweaking our branding and generally trying to position the Federation to deal with any further challenges we may face from Autumn onwards.
