
DLP Planning
Since 1991, DLP Planning Ltd has been providing independent and wide-ranging planning advice across the UK in a range of sectors. Operating currently from eight offices, DLP offers comprehensive town planning and development consultancy services to both public & private sector clients, across all aspects of the planning system, and in particular in development promotion and management and plan/policy preparation. The Company, through its Directors, has a long track record in identifying, assessing and promoting development opportunities of all scales and types though both the local plan process and via planning applications/appeals.
In order to add to its advice to clients, the Company has evolved a number of specialist teams and has continued to grow these in order to respond to client needs and changes in planning guidance and practice. Two of these are central to the main planning function, the Sustainable Development and Delivery Team (SDD), which provides master planning, transport /travel planning, flood risk and environmental assessment advice, and the Strategic Planning and Research Unit (SPRU)
SPRU
SPRU is a dedicated team of economic specialists, statisticians/demographers and planners providing bespoke advice to a range of both development and public service clients (eg, NHS, police service and local government, as well as supporting the more general work of DLP Planning in specialist areas, eg housing land supply.
SPRU provides strategic expertise focused on providing clients with a range of services to support the promotion of development including evidence based assessments and advice on the promotional strategy, such as demographic modelling, housing and economic assessments and analysis, housing and economic need studies, economic and health impact reports.
SDD
SDD, as noted above, provide a range of support professional services across a range of areas which adds weight to the delivery of planning solutions. This includes the full range of technical assessments for highways and transport analyses, travel planning studies and travel plan management, flood risk assessment and drainage studies, master planning, environmental planning support, development viability and GIS Mapping.
